<p>From the outset EDL has been a customer-focused business with the ability to recognise market demand. The journey began with the purchase of 22ha of land on the eastern Rotorua/Tauranga highway and a goal to establish an international-standard, commercial subdivision. The vision was to design and develop an extremely high quality commercial business park to attract value-focused enterprises to Rotorua. And the result has been an epic success.</p>
<p>Eastgate Business Park is now home to many large scale and internationally recognised firms. Were it not for the conception of the business park, these companies would have relocated to other districts.</p>
<p>Following this success, shareholders decided to establish a property development company. In December 2003 Eastgate Developments Limited (EDL) was formed with the stated aim of ‘enhancing our environment’ and ‘stepping lightly on the land’.</p>
